Olympus Trip 35
Background: I purchased this Olympus Trip 35 from a thrift store in Kansas. It's a pretty simple camera that is nearly fully automatic. A simple selenium meter on the front of the camera allows the shutter speed to be controlled by the camera. The user can select their shutter speed on the lens and have a few zone focusing ranges on the lens.
I really enjoyed using the Trip 35. It was very compact and portable but not quite pocketable. The Trip 35's 40mm F2.8 lens-like many Olympus cameras was very sharp and produced pleasing images. The camera body was designed well and shot simply. At the time I disliked having limited focusing ranges and wanted more control and ended up selling the camera. I would recommend the Trip 35 as a very solid travel camera that can take great images and get out of the way.
